THINGS TO REMEMBER

• Students may enter in one or more arts categories, but may only enter each category once. Each piece of artwork must have its own title and artist statement.

• Only one student may create the work and be recognized as the award recipient but other students may appear in the artwork itself using a consent form.

• If the artwork requires a consent form, print and sign the consent form before uploading it online with the entry.

• Only new pieces of artwork inspired by the theme are allowed.

• Adults may not alter the creative integrity of a student’s work.

• Use of copyrighted material is prohibited in the literature, music composition, photography, and visual art categories.

• Use of copyrighted material is acceptable in the dance and film production categories when the title, composer and performer of any music in the submission are cited on the student entry form.

• Please read all general and category rules carefully! https://www.utahpta.org/reflections-rules-category-faqs

• In the photography category, the student must take the photo.

• In the film category, the student must be the camera person or use a tripod the entire time.

• Submitted images of 2D and 3D projects should show the artwork in its best light because entries will be judged from the submitted images. Use a ruler or a coin to help the judges understand size and scale when taking color photos of artwork from various angles.

• Music entries should be audio files only, no videos allowed.

• In the dance category, do not perform a dance learned in a dance class or on the internet.

• Every entry will be recognized!

• Good luck! We can’t wait to see what you create!
